A
practical three-day bank holiday course on the newly discovered
important Roman villa at Blacklands near Faversham. We will
survey the extent of the villa complex prior to our return
on September 10th to the 20th and sample, through evaluation,
the extent and quality of survival of the structures. There
will be experts on site to date Roman pottery, coins and mosaics
as they are revealed by excavation.
